A vaccination plan ensures your canine companion remains protected against dangerous diseases.
Advancements in veterinary medicine allow us to protect your pet against a range of harmful (and sometimes fatal) diseases. As part of our practice’s commitment to preventative health, we create vaccination plans based on your pet’s individual needs. Some vaccines are mandatory (core), while we only recommend others based on your pet’s risk factors (non-core).
Vaccinations are a safe, highly effective way of either completely protecting your pet from contracting some diseases or reducing its effects if they’re infected. Some of these conditions are quite serious and potentially fatal. Vaccines are an easy and guaranteed way to prevent your furry friend from getting sick. Our team can help you create a vaccination plan that works best for your pet. Give us a call at 604-464-6666 for more details.
We recommend a combination of core and non-core vaccines for our canine friends, including:
Puppies should be vaccinated starting at 8 weeks, beginning with DA2PP. Your dog should get DA2PP, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, and Lyme boosters yearly. After the first year of being vaccinated against rabies, your dog should receive a booster after 3 years.
